Flight Centre opens new store in Thames
Flight Centre today announced its new store opening in Thames, the North Island’s gateway to the Coromandel.
Flight Centre is a company that focuses on growth and this latest store opening confirms its commitment to the Thames-Coromandel region.
Flight Centre’s retail leader, Maree Hansen, said the new store provides the Thames community with a team of local, dedicated travel experts who understand the region’s unique travel needs.
“We are excited to add another retail store to our already extensive store network across the country.
“We saw a gap in the market with Thames and identified it as an opportunity to provide the town with exceptional travel inspiration and extremely competitive deals,” Ms Hansen said.
The Flight Centre Thames team is headed up by Tania Paull, who has been with Flight Centre for more than eight years and has extensive travel knowledge through first-hand travel experiences.
Future team leader, Craig Cassidy, is a well known face in Thames, owning the Sunkist backpackers and also a member of the Thames volunteer fire fighters. Craig returns to Flight Centre after a break managing his backpackers business and is excited to be working with locals to help plan their dream holidays.
Rosie Clarke, also a Thames local, joins the team and holds the accolade as the youngest wedding celebrant in the Coromandel, while Catherine Martinson joins the team after a stint working in corporate travel.
Flight Centre Thames is open Monday - Saturday.
