Geikie Gorge National Park is located in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia and is approximately 3,136 hectares. It is located 280 kilometres east of Derby and 309 kilometres west of Halls Creek. Access to the park is by 20 kilometres of good road from Fitzroy Crossing to the park boundary.
Multi coloured cliffs, where Fitzroy River has cut through fossil reef are within the park. River Red Gum and paper barks form dense riverine forest are to be seen and some areas are covered with Passionfruit vine. Numerous Freshwater Crocodile, also Fruit Bats, Wallabies, Dingo, Herons, Ibis, Darter, Kites and Brolga inhabit the park.

Supplies are available at Fitzroy Crossing and accommodation can be found at Fitzroy Crossing Hotel Motel, Caravan Park and Fitzroy River Lodge. Picnicking is permitted at Geikie Gorge and there are two walk trails which are one and a half to just over two kilometres. Swimming is at your own risk at the sand bar, half a kilometre down river. Rock Climbing is permitted again at your own risk.
The best time to visit the park is from May to October due to the more favourable and milder weather conditions.
Boat tours commence from mid April and cease first week of November (weather permitting) and are for approximately one and a half hours. Costs apply.
