Florence Falls is one of several scenic waterfalls and safe swimming holes in Litchfield National Park. Litchfield is 129 kms south of Darwin and 268kms from Katharine. It was originally home to the Wagout People and become a national park in 1986. Apart from its magnificent water features, the park is famous for towering termite mounds in spectacular shapes and sizes as well as stunning rainforest.

Litchfield National Park is also home to Wangi Falls and Buley rock pools. Florence Falls is the most spectacular and is reach by a series of steep stairs up the side of the escarpment beside a series of cascading pools. Here visitors can enjoy great safe swimming against the magnificent backdrop of the waterfall.
