Kojonup has a long proud history, stretching back centuries to the days when nomadic Aboriginal people were first attracted to the area by the freshwater spring and an abundance of game. Even the name Kojonup has a historic significance, referring to the 'Kodja' or stone axe made by Aborigines from the local stone of the area. To discover more about local Indigenous heritage and culture, a visit to The Kodja Place is a must.
Kojonup is well equipped with facilities to cater for just about every sporting activity. When you are exhausted from your sporting activities just sit back and bask in the peace and tranquillity.
The Kojonup Festival of Wildflowers runs in September each year. For further information please phone 08 9831 0500 or 0409 116 951 or email kojonuptouristassn@bigpond.com
