The North Coast of New South Wales stretches north from the Hawkesbury almost to the border of Queensland. The area encompasses a stunning coastline, with lush hinterland and an international wine region. This region is ideal for nature lovers with a high concentration of World Heritage Listed National Parks and the annual whale migrations along the coast. Families will be able to entertain children for hours at little or no cost and the young and the young at heart will be kept busy in the water - surfing, swimming, kayaking, boating or fishing. The choice of accommodation ranges from luxury retreats to camping in the sand, with food from fish and chips on a jetty, to 'hatted' restaurants featuring regional produce and local award winning wine.
Whether you head to one of the popular coastal spots, such as Coffs Harbour, Port Stephens and Port Macquarie, or explore one of the area's national parks - you are bound to find a holiday escape to suit every taste.

It is difficult to surpass the beautiful golden beaches which dot the coastline. Shoal Bay, Forster, Old Bar, Harrington, Laurieton, Crescent Head, South West Rocks and Nambucca Heads are some of the best known, but there are many more remote coves and inlets scattered along the coast.
Enjoy spectacular coastal walks or join an off-road adventure over towering sand dunes to Stockton Beach, or follow the dolphins to Port Stephens and its famous Pearl White Beaches
