Located on the northern coast of New Zealand's North Island the Bay of Plenty certainly lives up to it's name with almost 260 km of beautiful coastline stretching in a crescent between Cape Runaway and Coramadel. The surrounding countryside is bursting with farms and orchards and beautiful gardens. There is also no shortage of fresh seafood and why not enjoy a sample or two from one of the local vineyards.

All along the coastline you'll find gorgeous sandy beaches and small seaside communities where the pace of life is a little slower and there just seems to be more time to discover whats around and to appreciate Nature's gifts.
Mt Maunganui is a resort town with great surf beaches on one side and a protected bay on the other, perfect for kayaking, boating and swimming. There is a 3.8km (2.4 mile) track to the summit which amazing views of the coastline and surrounding countryside. Ohope Beach is just south of the town of Whakatane and is a great beach for families with great views of Motuhora Island. The Classic Flyers Aviation Museum is great for grown ups and kids alike with the chance to take a ride in a helicopter straight out of M.A.S.H or an exciting bi-plane flight. The Katikati Bird Gardens offer the chance to see some of New Zealand's most colourful and beautiful native bird species.
