Designed specifically for small ship cruises in the Caribbean, US and Canada, the Grande Mariner was launched in 1998 and then fully refurbished in 2010. Her 48 cabins have been newly configured and feature stylish décor, new bathrooms and furniture while the inviting lounge has been renovated to include a state-of-the-art audio-visual system and 180 degree views. The atmosphere on board the Grande Mariner is intimate, leisurely and informal, offering guests a home-from-home environment during their cruise.
There are six Category 1 Staterooms on the Lower Deck and two on the Main Deck. Lower Deck Staterooms can accommodate up to three passengers in a double lower berth and a single upper berth. There are no windows in these staterooms though they are, of course, fully air-conditioned. There are a further two Category 1 Staterooms on the Main Deck which are furnished with one upper and one lower berth and which have portholes. The Grande Mariner has four Category 2 Staterooms located towards the bow of the Main Deck. Two of these are furnished as doubles and two have an additional upper berth for a third passenger. The Staterooms all have portholes, open onto an inside passageway and benefit from newly renovated bathrooms with shower and WC. Category 3 Staterooms are split between the Sun Deck and the Main Deck. The five Sun Deck cabins are furnished with either double or twin beds, have sliding windows and a door which opens directly onto the Sun Deck. The 12 Main Deck Staterooms within this category are a mix of twins and doubles but have fixed windows and are accessed via an inside passageway. All Grande Mariner Staterooms have their own en suite facilities are are fully air-conditioned. Amenities: Window En Suite Bathroom with Shower and WC Air Conditioning
There are 20 premium Category 4 Staterooms located on the Grande Mariner's Sun Deck. These are either configured as doubles or as twins, in which case the beds can generally be pushed together to make a double. Sliding windows open to offer sea views and all staterooms have private en suite facilities. The majority of cabins within this category are accessed via an inside passageway but there are also a few with doors opening onto the deck.
