Sudan
Experience the luxury and style of days gone by aboard the steamship Sudan. Built for King Fouad toward the end of the nineteenth century, this vessel has been lovingly restored to be the last of its kind to cruise the Nile. The charms of the Sudan were described in detail in Agatha Christie's 'Death on the Nile' and today, its authentic atmosphere still evokes images of Hercule Poirot pacing the decks. The Sudan is faithful to her origins with authentic fixtures and period furniture, rich woodwork, leather upholstery, brass bedsteads, panelled passageways and wooden decks, yet integrated with all the modern conveniences one would expect of a luxury river vessel.
