We are proud to announce that Flight Centre is once again the official sponsor of this year's Flight Centre K2 cycle event held in the Coromandel on Saturday 27 October 2018.

The Flight Centre K2 cycle race has a reputation of being one of the toughest one day cycle challenges in the Southern Hemisphere, yet one of the most rewarding. Travel through lush forest, pacific coastlines and farmland throughout the Coromandel Peninsula whilst you push yourself to the limit and put your skills to the test on this 192km course. Plus every 4 years the EnergyclubNZ K4 takes place and it just so happens that it will be taking place this year. This is two laps of the main event and starts on the Friday evening.

Not a professional or semi-professional cyclist? There are options for riders of all ages and abilities, including the Schwalbe K1 106km race and the 53km Nicolas Browne Challenge.  And there’s a brand new event this year called the Dirty K, which is a 72km gravel ride which starts and finishes in Coromandel Town, via Coville and Kennedy Bay. The Dirty K will have a new route each year.
Tip: The Flight Centre K2 is a tough race with a number of significant climbs, so we recommend you get some training in on the course prior to race day!
