Alcatraz
The first lighthouse to be built on the Pacific Coast, and then to a federal prison for some of world’s notorious convicts is Alcatraz. For those of you who enjoy history, we recommend you take the ferry from Fisherman's Wharf to Alcatraz to do an audio tour of the prison at your own pace. Get goosebumps as you step inside one of the cell houses while simultaneously listening to the Alcatraz stories.
Golden Gate Bridge
Be sure to be wowed by the impressive Golden Gate Bridge. From its unique international orange colour to its amazing architecture, it’s no wonder why it is recognized as one of the many wonders of the modern world. If you enjoy cycling, we recommend you ride across the Golden Gate Bridge as an adventurous activity to tick of your travel to do list.
Fisherman's Wharf
Famous for its clam chowder, fishing fleet & sea lions basking in the sun is Fisherman’s Wharf. You can’t go to Fisherman’s Wharf without trying a clam chowder! With so many seafood stores & sourdough French bread bakeries around, we're sure you’ll be overwhelmed by the many places to choose from. And as you begin to eat your clam chowder, take a walk along the pier to admire the street art, music & other festive activities.
Chinatown
The largest Chinatown outside of Asia as well as the oldest Chinatown in North America is San Francisco Chinatown. For Asian culture, authentic & inexpensive eateries & souvenir shopping, Chinatown is a great place to visit off the beaten path.
Cable Cars
And of course while you’re in San Francisco, you must ride on a historic cable car over San Francisco's historic landmark & must-see sights. The main places where the cable cars stop are North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square & Nob Hill.
