There's a new face for Fiji coming our way. New branding for Fiji tourism has just been launched at Denarau, which will soon be visible on all the country's brochures and advertising.

Fiji will now be known as "Fiji - where happiness finds you", replacing the previous "Fiji me". So why the change? It's all been designed around the warmth, genuine nature and friendliness of the Fijian people, which the country is so renowned for.

The new Fiji tourism message has been designed to encourage tourists from around the world to make the country their first choice for holiday destination. Making this change to focus on the people came about following a survey of around 4000 international visitors who spent a holiday in Fiji.

Last year over 675,000 travellers visited Fiji, over 40,000 more than in 2010. Of these, Kiwis make up 15% of all the visitors, second only to Australia, so clearly the country remains a firm favourite for Kiwi travellers needing a beach holiday.
