1. Largest cruise ship in the world weighing 228,081 gross registered tons.
2. On an average seven-night cruise, 5,000 dozen fresh eggs, 379l of chocolate ice-cream, 853kg of lobster tail and 1,134kg of fresh salmon.
3. The tallest slide at sea ‘the Ultimate Abyss’ is taller than the Buckingham Palace in London.

Winning the title in 2019 as the largest passenger ship at sea, Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas is 361m long, 72.5metres high and weighs 228,081 gross registered tons. This giant ship contains 7 neighbourhoods, each with their own special features; for example The Boardwalk is  the home of  the ship’s aqua-theatre where you can catch one of the high flying aqua acrobatics and high-diving performances, the pool and sports zone is where you will find The Perfect Storm, a trio of water slides for thrill seekers of all ages and Central Park features more than 20,700 lush tropical plants creating the ultimate oasis where you’ll also find retail boutiques, live entertainment and à la carte restaurants

Symphony of the Seas has plenty of options on board to keep the entire family entertained. Rock climbing, laser tag, surf simulators, ‘The Abyss’ (the tallest slide at sea) and an escape room are just a taste of the 66 activities/attractions available. If you prefer to take it a little slower you can catch a production of Hairspray or unwind at the solarium, an adults-only retreat.

Take a walk and admire the selection of art pieces on board, there are over 13,347 contemporary works ranging from immersive installations, paintings, photography and sculptures. After a day of exploring, there are over 14 lounges and bars available on board to sit back, relax and enjoy a cocktail…or two!  There are a variety of options to choose from including a comedy club, sports bar & arcade and a poolside bar -  so wherever you are on the ship there is something for everyone! Symphony of the Seas has a variety of 23 dining venues ranging from à la carte to more casual bar-type food options, including ‘El Loco Fresh’, a family-friendly, casual Mexican eatery serving the best tacos, burritos and carnitas on board. For those with a sweet tooth, get your fix at the Sugar Beach candy and Ice-cream shop. They have over 200 different confectionaries to choose from including almost every flavour of Jelly Belly you can think of and they even make their own ice-cream!

Though the Symphony of the Seas’ official maiden voyage in April 2018 was through the Mediterranean, in November of the same year it repositioned its homeport to Miami, Florida where it now has two unique 7-night itineraries to choose from.
