    Welcome to Lisbon! At 6 pm, meet your Tour Director and travel companions for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (D)
    2 LISBON
    LISBON Guided sightseeing includes a photo stop at Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. YourChoice Excursions will include one of the following activities of your choice: DELVE: TRAM-endous Lisbon! Travel back in time to experience the sights and sounds that make Lisbon stand out. Hop on one of Lisbon's legendary trams to soak-in the lively rhythm of the city and walk the narrow streets, alleyways, and cobblestones to discover old taverns in centuries-old squares. Find a fascinating world full of stories and bookmarks in history! GAZE: Gardens & Glittering Palaces From rippling mountains to rugged coastlines and Moorish palaces to majestic gardens, Sintra is one of the country's most beautiful places. Torn from the page of a fairytale, Sintra delivers stories, mysteries and a magical day along the mighty Atlantic Ocean. (B)

Stretching along Portugal's central coastline, it is blessed with an Atlantic climate of mild and rainy winters balanced with summer sea winds, creating prized Portuguese wines. Meet two wine producers continuing their century-old tradition of winemaking as you visit their wine cellars to tempt your taste buds with award-winning sparkling wine. CLAP: Fancy Some Fado? Discover Coimbra through the ancient and winding streets of its medieval centre. Savor the unique heritage of the city's confectionery culture in a region filled with monasteries and convents that created some of Portugal's signature specialty sweets. Your walking tour arrives at a local home to enjoy the soul of Portuguese music deep in the heart of the city. Just try to resist being moved by the soulful strains of the Fado de Coimbra! (B)
    6 COIMBRA
    COIMBRA YourChoice Excursions include one of the following activities of your choice: FLOAT: Art in Aveiro Take a canal cruise on the Ria de Aveiro to explore the four waterways of the city known as the Portuguese Venice. Float along the main source of Aveiro's wealth and heritage, and discover the heart of the city while crossing its water roads. Passing by the City centre, you'll discover the colourful buildings that reflect the city's delightful Art Nouveau movement where the past and present blend to reveal a remarkable landscape! A light lunch at a local restaurant is the perfect ending to this artful adventure. PEDAL: Rolling by the River In the morning, steer in the direction of the sea and make a small stop at the Environmental Interpretation Centre to take a bicycle tour. On this biking excursion, you will breathe in natural beauty, including paddy fields, marshes, reed beds and rushes. The presence of "Rio Antua" and "Esteiro de Salreu", connected by a network of ditches, allows communication between all habitats, explaining the high levels of biodiversity that exist. TASTE: The Sweet Side of Portugal Satisfy your sweet tooth in a tiny town halfway between Lisbon and Porto and indulge in Pasteis de Tentugal. These irresistible thin, flaky pastries filled with rich egg custard and dusted with powdered sugar were created by the resident Carmelite nuns in the 16th century! Hear the history of Tentugal as you learn how its favourite confection is made, while enjoying a perfectly paired glass of wine or cup of tea. (B,L)
    7 COIMBRA-PORTO
    PORTO Follow your Local Guide for a walking tour in the city centre. Enjoy a glass of Porto. This evening relax on a river cruise followed by farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)
