Cabin Classes
Economy
Economy cabins contain seats with a pitch of 84-86cm depending on the aircraft. Cabins also contain bamboo massage sticks for swollen feet and seat-back screens. The in-flight menu includes a choice of meals, refreshments, ice cream, breakfasts and a range of beverages. Japan Airline's MAGIC in-flight entertainment systems offer a range of movies, games and audio programming. Video on demand entertainment systems are available on select aircraft.
Premium Economy
Premium Economy Class cabins contain shell seats with a pitch of 107cms, electronic recline, leg support, in-seat power, foot rests, in-seat storage and 9 inch seat-back screens. Passengers are provided bamboo massage sticks and amenity kits containing eye masks, ear plugs, toothbrush sets, moisturizing masks, slippers and blankets. The in-flight menu includes a choice of meals, salads, noodles, refreshments, noodle soups, ice cream, breakfasts and a range of beverages. Japan Airline's MAGIC in-flight entertainment systems offer a range of movies, games and audio programming. Video On Demand entertainment systems are available on select aircraft.
Business Class
Executive Class cabins contain various styles of shell and recliner seat models depending on the aircraft. All models offer electronic controls, in-seat power supply, in-seat storage and 15.4 inch to 16 inch personal screens depending on the aircraft. The in-flight menu includes a choice of Western, French or Japanese style meals, Western or Japanese breakfasts, bread, refreshments and a range of beverages including Sake. Japan Airline's MAGIC in-flight entertainment systems offer a range of movies, games and audio programming. Video On Demand entertainment systems are available on select aircraft.
First Class
First Class cabins contain both leather full flat beds and suites. Seats and suites include storage compartments, electronic recline, in-seat power supply and 19 inch personal screens. Passengers are provided duvets, pillows, relaxing clothing, bamboo massage sticks and cosmetic gift bags containing cosmetics, toothbrush sets and eye masks. The in-flight menu includes full course Western and Japanese style meals, à la carte options and a range of beverages available to order at any time during the flight. Japan Airline's MAGIC in-flight entertainment systems offer a range of movies, games and audio programming. Video on demand entertainment systems are available on select aircraft.
Baggage
Economy Class passengers are allowed 1 piece of 10kg hand luggage and 2 pieces of 23kg (each) checked baggage. Premium Economy Class passengers are allowed 1 piece of 10kg hand luggage and 2 pieces of 23kg (each) checked baggage. Executive Class passengers are allowed 1 piece of 10kg hand luggage and 3 pieces of 32kg (each) checked baggage. First Class passengers are allowed 1 piece of 10kg hand luggage and 3 pieces of 32kg (each) checked baggage.
Check-in Options
Japan Airlines offers mobile and web check-in from 72 hours until 2 hours before departure time for all international flights. Self-serve check-in kiosks are available at the airport with check-in times varying depending on the destination. Please refer to the airline for more information regarding check-in times.
Rewards Program
The JBM Mileage Bank is a rewards program that allows members to earn points when they fly with Japan Airlines or use the services of their affiliated partners. Accumulated points can be used towards flights, upgrades, holiday packages, accommodation, car rentals, dining and other retail products with Japan Airlines and their affiliated partners.
Lounges
Japan Airlines has 4 types of lounges located domestically and internationally. These lounges include JAL First Class Lounge, Sakura Lounge, JAL Lounge and Arrival Lounge. The First Class lounge is separated into three zones including Business Express, Deli & Entertainment and Quiet and Relax. The Sakura Lounge is Japan Airlines' signature lounge and features wireless internet access, business facilities, complimentary beverages and snacks. First Class and JBM members have access to various lounges depending on the type of membership they have.
