Are you planning a family holiday to Europe?

From Paris to Lake Garda, there are so many great locations to choose from for your next family holiday. Before you go, read our tips on five of the best  family holiday destinations throughout Europe. With all of the amazing earlybird airfares available right now, for travel throughout 2015, there is no better time to book!

Paris, France

The city of lights is perfect for the whole family with so many things to see and do. The Eiffel Tower is a must see along with the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre. If you want to treat the kids to something extra special, you can even take them to Disneyland!

This magical land is every kids dream and the adults will love it too! Make sure you take a ride in the tea cups, get a picture with Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck and visit the fairy castle! Paris can also be much cheaper to fly into than other big airports, especially now during the Europe earlybird season! Ask one of our Flight Centre experts about our family holiday packages to Paris.

Belfast, Ireland

For a family holiday with a difference, Belfast has a lot to offer. You can visit Titanic Belfast and see the new, fascinating building which lets you explore the history of the Titanic or you can visit Belfast Castle.

A road trip is also a great idea, and a fantastic way to explore the country at your leisure. Take the kids to see the Giant’s Causeway World Heritage Site and the rope bridge which is only an hour and a half drive from Belfast. You can choose to take a tour and hear all about the legend of the giants. After a long day you can sit down and have a well-deserved pint of Guinness!

London, England

From getting the best picture in front of the Big Ben on the London Eye or seeing your favourite celebrities in wax at Madam Tussauds. There is so much to do in London which is why it’s one of my favourite cities! London is full of history and events and is a city you can visit all year round. Take the family to one of the many museums in the city or keep them entertained and shocked at Ripley's Believe It or Not in Piccadilly Circus. Take the kids to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace or visit The Royal Mews! Feel like getting out of the city? Why not take the train or get a car rental down to Brighton and enjoy a walk along the shore or a carousel ride out on the pier.

Lake Garda, Italy

Picturesque villages, beautiful scenery and beaches, medieval castles and nearby amusement parks are just some of the many things you can expect to see at this gorgeous location located between Venice and Milan. When you fly to Italy, you can choose to go to Milan or Rome first and then either fly or train to Lake Garda. If you stop by Rome, make sure you stop by for a few days so you have time to see all the sights! Lake Garda is Italy’s largest and most visited lake and is known for its clear water, making it great for swimming and water sports. The kids will love eating pizza and pasta and Italy has the best gelato around! You can also spoil the kids and take them to Gardaland! This amusement park has lots of rides, a giant rollercoaster, a parade and a sea life aquarium. Gardaland will keep the family entertained all day!

Barcelona, Spain

Sun, sand and Sangria are the first three things I think of when I hear Spain! Barcelona is a vibrant, beautiful city which you and the family will love to visit! Relax on the beach and enjoy an icecream with the family. Take a leisurely nice walk through the city and see all the beautiful architecture. A couple of 'must-sees' to visit in the city include the well-known La Sagrada Familia which has been a building in progress since 1884! This building is beautiful and well worth seeing. The second 'must-see' for your family holiday is the Magic Fountain of Montjuic. On certain nights this fountain gets transformed into a magical synchronized performance of lights, colour, music and dancing illuminated water! This event is free and perfect for the whole family.
