Back to back cruises are two (or more) cruise holidays taken one straight after the other, generally on the same ship. Many cruise ships go straight from one cruise route to another. The ship is the same but the route and destinations are different. Back to back cruises usually change over in one or two days, so back to back cruise passengers disembark and go through the routine customs procedures between cruises. They usually re-embark before the other passengers get on board, often to a champagne reception or exclusive welcoming party.
Make sure you book the same cabin each time or you will have to pack and unpack again between cruises. But if you’re ok with that, and fancy more variety, you may choose a stateroom on the first part of the cruise, then upgrade to a balcony suite on the second leg.
