When packing for Litchfield National Park, think light and breathable clothing – t-shirts (long and short sleeved), shorts and long pants. If you plan to hit the trails, be sure to pack some comfortable walking shoes, throw in some swimmers and a towel for taking a dip at the waterfalls as well as a quality hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. The best time to visit Litchfield National Park is during the dry season, which runs from May to October. During this time the weather is warm and sunny with low humidity and little rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the park's natural attractions and hiking trails. Visiting during the wet season (November to April) can be challenging due to heavy rainfall and flooding, which can cause road closures and limit access to some areas of the park.
